Mr P Releases “I Love You Because” as the Countdown to “OG Forever” Continues

It’s Friday and you know what that means, right? It means we’re being treated to new releases from our favourite artists, and Mr P is joining the list this week with a fresh single titled “I Love You Because”.

The Nigerian singer, formerly of P-Square, has released the romantic track as he continues the rollout to his forthcoming album, “OG Forever”. He had been teasing the song on social media, describing it as “another one” from the upcoming project.

“I Love You Because” centres on the reasons people love and remain committed to someone. From the title alone, the song sets up a direct ode to the qualities that make a person special, while the official audio description presents it as a record for anyone who has found a love worth celebrating.

The new song follows “I Can’t Look Away”, which Mr P previously announced as another release from “OG Forever”. Together, the singles offer a taste of the direction he is taking with the project as he prepares to share more music with listeners.

Mr P announced “OG Forever” earlier this year, revealing plans to release two or three singles before the album. Although he has not announced an exact release date for the full project, the album is expected later in 2026.

The album will be his next major solo project after “The Prodigal”, released in 2021. In addition to “OG Forever”, Mr P has also spoken about a forthcoming refix project featuring reimagined versions of songs from the P-Square catalogue, connecting his past work with his current solo chapter.

For now, “I Love You Because” is the latest addition to Mr P’s solo catalogue and another preview of what he has planned for “OG Forever”.
