Coventry City manager, Frank Lampard has admitted that Arsenal gave his team “a difficult game” in Friday’s Premier League opener.
The Gunners ran out 3-0 winners at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
It means Mikel Arteta’s men have now begun the defence of their title with maximum points.
Lampard, speaking to Sky Sports, said: “Clearly, a big challenge.
“Fantastic team, a good lesson for our boys to see the levels. They played like champions.
It was a difficult game for us. The experience of it is probably good for us in terms of the stadium, the atmosphere at the start of the game and the quality that they have.
“When you concede goals, it’s not great from us, and that’s the reality.”
