Arsenal have told Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen that he needs to lower his salary demands.
The Gunners remain hopeful of signing Osimhen after Galatasaray’s decision not to sell the Nigerian international during this summer’s transfer window.
According to Foot Mercato, the Premier League champions have held talks over a possible deal to sign the 27-year-old.
The report added that Arsenal “have no intention of making an unreasonable offer to Osimhen” and are not ready to match his current deal with Galatasaray, which is worth more than €20 million per year.
Osimhen, who is admired by Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, must now decide whether to accept a lower offer from Arsenal or remain with Galatasaray beyond this summer.
Arteta is looking to sign one more attacking player to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes on September 1.
